Cost of the Monarchy

The institution of monarchy in Belgium will cost the Belgian taxpayer EUR 36 million next year.

The largest share of this amount is spent on policing and securing the safety of our royal family, the Saxe-Coburg and Gothas.

Some EUR 2.7 million less is being spent on the institution of monarchy next year.
