It's high time to lighten things up around here ladies(and others  :) )

This is the place to discuss Kate, her hair, her clothes, her bags (countess adores bags and is soooo jealous of Kate's bags) her infamous boots and hats!

This is intended as a fun thread. Feel free to post pic's or links with your fav Kate fashion shot of the maybe future princess! :Jen:

Have fun!

Fashion... I love this topic!  I actually think that Kate dresses very nicely except I am not a fan of her choice of SHOES!  I love shoes and given she dresses pretty conservatively, I think shoes are a great way for her to play with fashion.  Would love to revamp her shoe choices!  Those pumps she wears..... super blah.

I think she does formal wear very well and I also think that her casual outfits are great if she would change up her boots.

Countess of Highgrove

I agree about the shoe! I am sooo tried of looking at those boots too. They must go! did I mention how I love her bags? :chuckle:

Great thread CoH! I adore Kate's sense of fashion.

I love that blue color on her. And her hair looks fab as always.

I love all these outfits too! I think she looks really good in formal wear. My favorite outfit of hers is the one to the far left.

I think this might be one of those cultural divides between Americans and Brits, but the only wedding attire that I thought Kate pulled off really really well was the cream coat with the bunch of feathers thing.  I really was not a fan of the salad plate hat she wore with the cornflower blue coat although I liked the color of the coat.

I thought the light blue coat and the multi colored black skirt was ok but not fantastic and I was not a fan at all of what she wore to Autumn and Peter's wedding although it looked the black dress underneath the pink blazer was ok.  The hat I was not a fan of.

In Kate's defense, I am not a big fan of the fasinator deal.  I find it distracting unless it pulls together a look and often I find it doesn't on anyone.  There was a picture of Zara today at the Melbourne Cup and she was wearing one, it looked good with her outfit, but still not my favorite type of accessory.

I know Kate took alot of flack about the outfit she wore to the passing out (black hat, red coat) but I loved it and watching her in the videos I have seen, she was graceful and pulled it off flawlessly! I want to see more of that. I hate that she plays it so safe.

There are two pictures I love that I can't find..

One is the pink, strapless dress she worn with thigh highs under :girlblush: and the other is a shot in which Kate is walking down the street in London and she is wearing a manshirt that I do believe was Wills. :wub2:

Oh I just saw the pictures of Zara. The angles of the shots are kind of funny because in some shots it looks like the wallpaper is actually part of her fasinator. :chuckle: Zara is so classy. Just adore her!

I love the fasinators the ladies in the UK wear as long as they don't go too crazy. I loved Kate's blue outfit at the recent wedding. It was unique and very original.

There is a dress she wore, dressy casual, with orange in it, with various other colours. Black trim around the neckline, and hem border... Really colourful and pretty.. I though she looked stunning in it. I also think she could advertise any brand of Jeans... and sell lots :sigh:

Excellant thread COH...

I don't know about the cultural divide, but I totally agree with your post.  My favourite was the cream coloured coat.  I think, not sure, but it may have been to the Austrian wedding.  I didn't care for the blue outfit, because the jacket looked like it was riding up and creased.

I too do not care for fasinators.  I find them irritating and busy.

Great choices,WG! Gotta love Nordstroms!

I don't think it's a cultural divide. I'm British and I completely agree. I think it's more personal taste

QuoteI liked this outfit (looks like a Zara type outfit):
