Queen meets Bletchley Park veteran to help mark the centenary of the Women's Royal Naval Service

Quotehe Queen met a Bletchley Park veteran as she helped mark the centenary of the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS) and the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps.

The visit to the Army and Navy Club was the Queen's first public event in London since her Balmoral summer break.

Now Prince Philip is no longer so active the Queen is being accompanied by her children and by William more and more. It was good to see the Princess Royal at this engagement with her mother. Apparently She and the Queen exchanged many glances and smiles throughout the evening.Quite touching as well to see the 91 year old monarch leaning down to chat to elderly women guests in wheelchairs.

^^^Lovely to see the WWII veterans all chatting together and reminiscing.
