QuotePrince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco enjoy low-key Irish holiday

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco are currently on a low-key holiday to Ireland. It is not Prince Albert's first visit to Ireland, as he visited the country in 1961 as a three-year-old with his parents Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace for a week long holiday. Back then, crowds gathered around the Gresham Hotel in Dublin to see the glamorous couple. Tragically, several people were crushed in the crowds, and it was reported that one person had even had a heart attack. The second visit to Ireland took place in 2011, and now he is visiting for a third time with his wife.

They enjoyed a morning of sightseeing before joining their friends at The Monasterboice Inn for lunch. The Inn manager, Roseanna Donegan, was quite surprised and delighted to receive the royal couple.

"We had no idea that they were coming. We got a phone call in advance to ask us to keep a seat for 12 celebrity guests, as well as a table for six for their entourage. We prepared the tables as we would for any other visitor, but we weren't too excited because we really had no idea who or what to expect."

I think the people at the International Handball Federation have mistaken Prince Albert for a Norwegian royal because they don't have a lot of knowledge about the different European royal families. They should probably read more about them so they can be better informed.

QuotePrince Albert of Monaco accidentally called Norwegian by IHF

The International Handball Federation (IHF) made a big mistake at the World Championships final in handball Sunday night. When they posted an image of a group of fashionable spectators in the stands in the world championship arena on their Twitter profile, the mistake was made. Operators of the profile had obviously not studied European royal families and apparently thought that His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco was Norwegian.

"French President Francois Hollande, Norway's Prince Albert & IOC President Dr Thomas Bach are all enjoying #FRANOR today! #handball2017", was the text under the picture of the three together in the stands. The message received significant attention from other Twitter users who tried to notify them that this was wrong, and the prince was not Norwegian. The picture was posted on the association's Twitter profile for several hours Sunday night, but by Monday morning, it was deleted from their account.

Norwegian and, especially, the French media have written extensively about that Prince Albert was described as a Prince of Norway. There was no Norwegian royal presence in Paris yesterday. Only the Norwegian Minister of Culture was Norway's official representative at yesterday's finale. The Minister of Culture spoke with the Prince of Monaco right before the match started.

The twins start school for the 2020-2021 school year.

Princess Charlene?s twins return to school: See how Princess Gabriella helped brother Prince Jacques

QuotePrincess Gabriella  was looking out for her brother  Prince Jacques  on their first day back at school.  Princess Charlene  and  Prince Albert  of Monaco?s five-year-old twins returned to school on Wednesday. To mark their first day, the Prince?s Palace released a new photo of the royal siblings. ?Back to school for Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella,? a message alongside the picture read. Doting sister Gabriella was photographed adorably fixing her twin brother?s hair before heading into the classroom. The siblings coordinated in white tops and navy bottoms?with Jacques wearing trousers and Gabriella a skirt?for their first day back. The little Princess completed her preppy look with a pink and white backpack.

Gabriella is a very sweet sister, hope Jacques appreciates it! Like my twin grandchildren of practically the same age, the Monaco twins aren't really very physically alike. IMO Gabriella is more Grimaldi while her brother resembles his mum.

Btw, per the thread here about what language royals use to speak to each other, I read yesterday that Charlene converses with them in English (as I suspect she also does to Albert) and their father uses French. So they are already bilingual.

Monaco?s National Day celebrations to be limited ? Royal Central

QuoteAs with many other celebrations around the world, National Day in Monaco will look much different than usual this year. This past weekend, Prince Albert II announced a scaled-back version of the holiday for 2020 in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Given the large crowds that gather, the National Day parade will not take place, and all diplomatic receptions will be cancelled.

Following the new month-long coronavirus health measures Albert announced on 30 October, the National Day celebrations on 19 November will fall in line with the principality?s 8 p.m. curfew. This means the annual fireworks will be cancelled.

There will be limited access to the Te Deum Mass in the cathedral, with face coverings required for all attending, and the guest list slashed in half. While Prince Albert will continue to hand out awards in the palace courtyard, many of the recipients will receive theirs at home instead.

However, a new addition for 2020 is the awarding of medals to those working on the frontlines of the pandemic. This will take place during a special ceremony on Monday, 16 November, at the Prince?s Palace.

Princess Caroline wins some new fans by revealing her silver hair.

Princess Caroline of Hanover wins new fans as she goes grey ? Royal Central

QuoteMaybe it was lockdown, maybe it was always on the cards but one of the most famous royal style icons of modern times has turned heads again with her latest move. Princess Caroline of Hanover has gone grey.

The princess showed off her locks, as nature intended them, as she attended events marking Monaco?s National Day in Monte Carlo. Her familiar dark hair has now faded to a sleek silver and her decision to keep it like that immediately won praise.

I admire her decision to allow her silver to shine.
