Harlech Castle is located in Gwyedd, Wales. It was built in the reign of King Edward I. The castle was designed and created by Master James of St. George.

During the 15th century Wars of the Roses, Harlech Castle was held by the Lancastrians for seven years before Yorkist troops forced its surrender in 1468.
