The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this afternoon presided at the Annual Investiture of the Supreme Grand Chapter at Freemasons' Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Kandahar Ski Club, this evening attended a Centenary Reception at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1, and was received by Mr Gareth Neame (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened the National Police Chiefs' Council Offices at 50 Broadway, London SW1.

The Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited the Makers Guild in Wales, Craft in the Bay, the Flourish, Lloyd George Avenue, Cardiff, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith).

Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief, St John Ambulance in Wales, afterwards met Cadets, Badgers and Volunteers in the City Parish Church of St John the Baptist, St John Street, Cardiff.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Cerebral Palsy Cymru, this afternoon officially opened the new Children's Centre at 1 the Courtyard, Ty Glas Avenue, Llanishen, Cardiff.

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning visited the Cavalier Centre, Bradley Farm, Farley, Much Wenlock, and presented The King's Awards for Voluntary Service, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire (Mrs Anna Turner).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Save the Children UK, this afternoon visited the Lyth, Ellesmere, birthplace of Eglantyne Jebb, and was received by Major General John Crackett (Deputy Lieutenant of Shropshire) and subsequently visited the Jebb Memorial Garden at Cremorne Gardens, Ellesmere, and was received by Mrs Diana Flint (Deputy Lieutenant of Shropshire).
