HM the King Receives Duke of York and Expats Representatives

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Sakhir Palace Duke of York Prince Andrew marking his visit to Bahrain. He conveyed to His Majesty King Hamad greetings from Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Charles, Prince of Wales, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

HM the King welcomed Prince Andrew extending greetings to Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Charles, Prince of Wales. He lauded deep-rooted historic relations and steadily-growing cooperation, reiterating Bahrain's keenness on bolstering bilateral ties for the sake of the joint interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

Britain's Duke of York, Prince Andrew, has joined Bahrain's expatriate community to create a unique new award.

The King Hamad Awards programme was announced yesterday during an audience with His Majesty King Hamad, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

It will be international, offered to Bahrainis and expatriates, and range from bronze through to platinum.

His Majesty praised historic ties with Britain and reiterated Bahrain's keenness to strengthen them.
