QuoteA school's century of service has been recognised with a Royal seal of approval.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester visited Woodlea Primary School in Fence Houses yesterday afternoon.

The grandson of George V and a first cousin to The Queen met past and present pupils, looked at historical records, viewed a series of displays and unveiled a plaque.

There has been a school on the site since 1913 with the original Fence Houses Infant and Junior School, which became a secondary school.
