No they're aren't going to be the last who will have a scheduling conflict. HM would demand their presence if she believed it was necessary.  Also until fairly recently this wasn't an event that most members of the BRF were seen attending. It's not like Remembrance Sunday or Trooping the Color which are MANDATORY.  IMO this service  has special significance this year as the UK is hosting the CHOGM.

This year there will be three absent family members: Edward, Edward Kent and Richard Gloucester.

The entire Royal Family to attend Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey ? Royal Central

Quotehe Earl of Wessex, the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent will be absent from the service due to other commitments.

As I recall the trio first attended in 2015. Then in 2016 it was just the Cambridges while I believe that Harry was in Africa and the Wessexes and the Princess Royal were absent.   In 2017 it was just Harry representing the grandchildren and Anne, Sophie, the Kents, and the Gloucesters were also absent.

Also later in the evening, the PoW, Camilla and William will attend an evening reception.

QuoteIn the evening, Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince William will be guests of the Commonwealth Secretary-General at the annual reception.

Brigadier Alastair Aitken set up the 77th Brigade in April 2015, as an ?agent of change? to challenge the difficulties of modern warfare using non-lethal engagement?.

Brig Aitken was decorated at Buckingham Palace alongside playwright Peter Nichols, theatre director John Tiffany, and the governor general of Barbados, Dame Sandra Mason.
