Claudia Winkleman's royal actress sister seriously injured in head-on car crash

I hope her recovery is swift, but a broken back sounds terrible.

Oh no! This is terrible news. I hope that she and the other injured drivers  recover quickly, but you are correct @wannable that a broken back is serious.

It is thought a deer was in the road and another vehicle swerved to avoid the animal.

This vehicle then ploughed into Sophie's car and injured her and both drivers.

Four ambulances and an air ambulance were scrambled to the scene.

Spinal cord? Yeah...that would be serious.
And now dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne'er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly.
