Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden

Coming Soon to The Queen?s Gallery, Buckingham Palace

Beginning on 20 March 2015 and running until 11 October, Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden shows the way in which gardens have been commemorated in art through the span of four centuries.

This exhibit brings together an array of paintings, drawings, books, manuscripts, botanical studies, and decorative arts.

The exhibition studies the shifting nature of the garden from the 16th to the early 20th century.

This was a nice discovery to learn about the history of gardens in the form of paintings.
