QuoteSix former soldiers who are jailed in India for 5 years for not carrying the correct gun permits now have the support of Prince Charles and Prince Harry to free them.

Glad to see that they have the support of the PoW and Prince Harry, but unfortunately as the PoW's office stated they cannot intervene. Such issues would have to be dealt with through the Foreign Office.

Would their support carry any legal weight in India?

No. They are not allowed to interfere with India's legal system, but they are trying their best to help solve the case so the jailed soldiers can be free.

Hopefully the diplomats will come to an agreement soon allowing for the soldiers to be released.
