There are all sort of gift laws involved, he's might very well be unable to accept it.  Plus there's the issue of a royal endorsing and seemingly being bought by a company, and a non-brittish company at that.

And he actually has an Audi, which I think costs GPB 20,000, not a VW.

Who writes these things anyway?
