QuoteOn Tuesday, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Hamad Al Thani, arrived in The United Kingdom for an official three-day visit.

First off, the 34-year-old Emir sat down for lunch with British Prime Minister David Cameron at Downing Street in London. At the lunch meeting the British Prime Minister urged the Emir to invest more of Qatar's oil and gas wealth into infrastructure projects across the UK, reports the news agency Reuters.

Being one of the richest countries in the world, Qatar has already made heavy investments into British firms and property. For instance, the Qatari Royal Family has founded the tallest building in London – an 87-storey skyscraper called 'the Shard' — as well as the upmarket department store Harrods, which is owned by sovereign wealth fund, Qatar Investment Authority sovereign.
