The Honduran President and his wife are in Spain on a three-day official visit, and yesterday started with King Felipe having an audience with President Alvarado at the Zarzuela Palace in the outskirts of Madrid. This is the residence of the royal family, including former King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, while the iconic Royal Palace in Madrid is only used for state ceremonies and official arrangements.

After posing for photographers at The Royal Palace, King Felipe and Queen Letizia escorted their Honduran guests to the lunch held in their honour. Several ministers, officials and business leaders along with Spain's Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, also attended the lunch.
