Well, you can see it by this POV, whomever has been mudding H in C's camp was taken aback when confronted (DP telling C's source) with the news of the series of Gemma dates -- introduction and climax of the article, hence the reaction, which would be the falling action and conclusion of the article, C's camp so to speak hit the head on the roof with the news and said, what we know, Dirty Dog.

This is the 'falling action and conclusion' of an *introduction/exposition and climax/rising action (* was the exclusive of Harry feeling happy about Gemma Wilkinson) when story telling.

Devastated Chelsy ended her romance with the third in line to the throne after told her he was not ready to settle down.
The trainee lawyer had also returned to South ­Africa to continue her studies.
A source revealed: "Harry's name is mud with Chelsy and her friends. He messed her about too much.

You must be seeing more then I see because it simply says that she was fed up of no commitment so they split. Nowhere does it say he was seeing someone else, dumped her for anyone else or that the sources claiming to be her friends believe he is seeing someone else or anything along those lines

Seriously?! Harry seems fine. At least there aren't any 'Harry on brink of suicide over Chelsy' stories floating around this time. Before someone jumps down my throat, yes, that was a far fetched example, but it highlights the hysteria of the press perfectly.
