Bhutan's King Jigme welcomes the Indian Foreign Secretary

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu, on March 1st, where he met with King Jigme Khesar to discuss regional cooperation and the two nations' bilateral partnership. King Jigme had brought his beautiful wife, Queen Jetsun Pema, along to welcome the foreign secretary.

Bhutan was the first stop of Subrahmanyam Jaishankar's tour, and it will be followed by visits to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is his first official visit to a foreign country, since he got appointed Foreign Secretary of India on January 29th.
