Prince George and Princess Charlotte's designer on dressing the young royals: 'I feel very proud'

The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, often favours Spanish designers when it comes to dressing her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with a particular favourite being Pepa & Co.

As George touched down for his royal tour of Canada wearing an outfit from the retailer, we talked to the label's founder Pepa Gonzalez about how it feels to have the royal seal of approval...

I like the hats Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde wear. :) They always wear elegant outfits to match their hats.

Queen Máxima is brimming with style: Her best hat looks

Royals love a great hat, but there's no denying Queen Maxima of the Netherlands takes the crown for boldest brims. If you love some seriously sensational headgear, check out this edit of our faves from the Dutch Queen's wardrobe...

The monarch accessorized her chic tweed dress with a matching black floppy to attend the "Caring for Older People: How Can We Do The Right Things Right?" meeting in Rotterdam.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands dons a £2,000 Givenchy dress in her native Buenos Aires - as her husband makes friends with Kate on the other side of the world

Her husband may have been more than 10,000km away making friends with the British royals.

But Queen Máxima didn't seem fazed at missing out on the fun as she attended a series of solo engagements in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.

The stylish royal, who is married to King Willem-Alexander, looked in her element in the Argentinian capital - which is also her birthplace - as she threw on an eye-popping green leopard print dress.

Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia of Spain's matching style and sweet sisterly moments: all the photos

Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia of Spain are only a year and a half apart in age. They've grown up in the spotlight and shared the sweetest sisterly moments during public engagements and private family events.

Queen Letizia and King Felipe's daughters were most recently spotted attending a military parade on Spain's National Day in Madrid, accompanying their parents.

The girls, ten and nine in age, wore matching Carolina Herrera coats in different colours and matching braids in their hair.

I love the beige and black dress Queen Letizia wore to the Princess of Asturias Awards last week. It does look a little similar to Nicole Kidman's dress, but hers is more translucent. Both women are still beautiful in the dresses.

Queen Letizia prefers to dress modestly and not spend too much money on fashion. There's nothing wrong with this.

15 Times Queen Letizia Showed She's Not a Regular Royal, She's a Cool Royal

If there's a royal who continues to impress us with her outfit choices, it's Queen Letizia of Spain. The gorgeous ruler rarely misses an opportunity to turn heads while tending to her duties in Madrid and abroad. While she's known for her classic taste, she did dare to wear some edgier pieces this year that we don't normally see her fellow royals rock. And in true Letizia fashion, she was photographed in many of them more than once.

From leather culottes to statement jackets, keep reading to discover 15 times Queen Letizia stopped us in our style tracks in 2016.

Absolutely agree  @Jennifer. While I wish that she'd wear some of those spectacular Spanish tiaras more frequently, I can understand why she and Queen Sofia have opted for more low key looks in the past decade due to Spain's economic issues.

It is a shame that Daily Mail constantly criticizes Queen Letizia for recycling outfits or not dressing "fancy" enough. They expect her to wear new fancy outfits everyday and spend a lot of money on fashion just because she is a Queen. I personally think  she and Queen Sofia are doing well not to overspend on fashion, especially with Spain's economic crisis as you mentioned, @TLLK. I have respect for people who do their best to save money.

I think Crown Princess Victoria always looks delightful in the Cut-Steel and Gold tiara. It is the tiara that is suited for her.

I think the trench coat looks lovely on Queen Letizia. It is always nice to wear that on a cold rainy day.  :)

Let These Queen Letizia Pictures Be a Reminder to Dust Off Your Trusty Trench Coat

Queen Letizia's outwear collection continued its reign as the best ever when the stylish Spanish royal stepped out for a UNICEF committee meeting on a chilly Fall day in Madrid on Dec. 16. Letizia paired her favorite work look — gray monochrome trousers and Uterque pumps — with a simple trench coat that added just the right amount of sophistication for an important day with global leaders. Letizia kept her hair in a sleek and straight style, opting for a simple makeup look, featuring a touch of lip gloss, to tie it all together. Queen Mathilde & Crown Princess Mary were dressing classy well before Melania Trump became First Lady. They were not inspired by her because they were royals for many years and dressed similarly before she became a fashion icon.

Vogue says styles of Queen Mathilde and Crown Princess Mary inspired by First Lady Melania Trump

Think Queen Mathilde and Crown Princess Mary are getting style inspiration from First Lady Melania Trump? Vogue seems to think so.

The legendary fashion magazine noted that when the Queen of the Belgians arrived in Denmark for a State Visit at the end of March, her icy blue coat dress was similar in style to the coat dress Melania Trump wore to her husband’s January inauguration; and the coat dress Crown Princess Mary wore to greet Queen Mathilde at the airport was also a pale blue.

Empress Sissi's court dresses are very lovely! I enjoy looking at pictures of women's fashion from the 19th century. The dresses had intricate designs and were at full lengths. The seamstresses obviously spent a lot of time sewing these quality dresses so they can last long.  It would be nice if current fashion designers created dresses like those to sell in stores and show women how to really dress with class and dignity!

I don't think it would be economically viable for seamstresses to do what you suggest nowadays, Jennifer. I remember reading about Norman Hartnell, the dress designer's work (he of course dressed the Queen and the Queen Mother in the 1940's and 1950's.) He employed in his fashion House literally teams of women who worked on his bespoke designs for royals and upperclass women. Labour costs were low in those days but would almost certainly be quite astronomical today.

It's a shame, because even with high priced clothing today you can see shortcuts made with hems and seams and button placements and as for decent tailoring, forget it! However, I really can't see what can be done about it. The days of exquisite, painstaking workmanship is gone.

You are right, Curryong. Nowadays, it would be very expensive and time consuming for the seamstresses to design good quality dresses like Empress Sissi's. The current designers are more interested in short-cutting when it comes to creating the "so called" expensive clothing that's not even really good in quality. They don't want to take the time and effort to design good quality dresses (as people did over 50 years ago) because they prefer to do less work quickly for more money. People in our modern society want things done instantly and do not value the importance of hard work as others before them did.
