Princess Diana's secret tapes to be made into stage play | London Evening Standard

QuoteThe story of how Princess Diana secretly collaborated with journalist Andrew Morton on a tell-all confession about life in the royal family is coming to the London stage.

James Clements, son of Newsnight host Kirsty Wark, has written the show and stars as Morton.

The journalist?s book, Diana: Her True Story, was based on hours of tapes the princess recorded with her friend, Dr James Colthurst.

Every single angle in this post is going to be covered at this rate.  The media will wring out any last drop of publicity from this story.
"In the past, people were born royal. Nowadays, royalty comes from what you do"...Gianni Versace

Im not surprised, although the whole cloak and dagger aspect of the making of the book could have some appeal as a story aside from the royal angle, so even non royal fans might like it
"No other member of the Royal Family mattered that year, or I think for the next 17 years, it was just her." Arthur Edwards, The Sun Photographer, talking about Diana's impact.
