Todays pics of Edward in the Panama hat with the suit pattern makes him look like its 100 yrs ago, hope the autogyro can post his letter to the king of siam on time regarding the upcoming Worlds Fair LOL.

I feel bad for Edward he looks more like a taxi driver with that rounded working class head, the Karl Pilkington of the RF  :partaay:

Nice pics of Sophie, stylish yet plain,I bet in private the royals think "Why couldn't Diana have been more like Sophie??"

Well TBH @Duch_Luver_4ever had Charles and Diana spent years dating like Edward and Sophie, I doubt that they'd gotten engaged in the first place. They would have likely realized that they didn't have much in common and their expectations for their marriage were vastly different.  Edward had far more flexibility than his siblings when it came to choosing a partner and Sophie had a much clearer idea of the expectations for her role than Diana or Sarah did with their relatively short dating/engagement periods. IMHO it's benefited the Wessexes and the BRF in the long run.

^ Edward & Sophie are in love & that is the difference.

Had C&D dated for years Diana would have known Camilla already had claws in Charles & had no intention of letting go so I agree they would not have married.

Edward is to much of a man to do that to Sophie & is not intimidated by her strength.

Duch_Luver_4ever

Edwards a man all right, a big fierce, fabulous, fella...not that theres anything wrong with that. :coy: Sophie solves a big problem for him so thats why theirs is the only marriage of that generation thats survived. As long as both sides know the score and are ok with it, its really none of our business.

Agreed @TLLK that had C&D had the time dating like them or almost any other couple takes, theyd have seen they were unsuitable for each other.
