It was very thoughtful of the Queen to donate money to help in search and rescue of trapped people for the Italy earthquake. My condolences also goes to the family and friends of the victims of this tragedy. May they heal from this.

QuoteThe Queen has made a personal donation to help with the search and rescue operation in Italy following a huge earthquake in the country which has killed almost 300 people and has left hundreds more injured.

Her Majesty gave the unspecified amount to the British Red Cross, a charity of which she is patron of.

Earlier in the week, Her Majesty sent a letter of condolence to the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.
