QuoteSchool pupils have been demonstrating cutting-edge technology to Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, during his visit to Hull today.

The duke was at the University of Hull this morning, where he was shown some of the virtual-reality training equipment being developed to help offshore wind engineers.

This afternoon, he crossed the city to Malet Lambert School, in James Reckitt Avenue, east Hull, where he met pupils developing a game and an app aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs. Children from Gillshill Primary School and Sirius Academy are also taking part.

Elliott Hutchinson, a pupil at Gillshill, was among those who chatted to the prince.  He said: "I was quite nervous but he was really nice. I was telling him how the game worked and he said that he thought it was a good idea."
