Countess of Wessex Gets Up Close and Personal with a Huge Eagle

The royal got up close and personal with a bird who shares the same name as her sister-in-law at today's annual Great Yorkshire Show.  These adorable snaps show HRH Sophie grinning proudly as she meets the huge 17lb Stellar eagle named Camilla.

The Countess - who wore a white dress teamed with a red blazer and matching flower - seemed relaxed as she held the enormous bird of prey.

The unlikely friendship formed after Sophie opened one of the show's pavilions and met children in the Discovery Zone before being introduced to Camilla.
