I'm afraid I thought Prince Philip looked very unwell, though obviously in good spirits and enjoying his day out. He is gradually losing physical strength, I feel, though that's hardly surprising at 96.

I'd like him to make his century...but I think if he's not feeling farily fit, he will maybe let go.. I think that is one reason he has given up active duties, that he isn't able to stand and walk now easily and unaided, and he doesn't want to be seen being helped.

How worried was Lady Louise as she may have wondered if Grandpapa would be able to watch her carriage driving?
