Queen fulfills orphan's wish

At the Great Arab Revolt Area, Her Majesty met up with a group of 100 orphans who are there on a trip organized by Her Majesty. The group arrived in Aqaba, by plane, and toured the city's sites and attractions. The visit comes after Her Majesty asked an orphan about their wishes for Eid, during an Iftar last Ramadan, and their wish was to fly on an airplane and see Aqaba.

Queen Rania honours 'Healthy Schools'

AMMAN (JT) - Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday honoured several schools that achieved a "healthy school" rating under the Royal Health Awareness Society's (RHAS) accreditation programme.

Her Majesty presented certificates to the 49 schools, several of which are part of the Madrasati initiative, at a special ceremony held at the Madaba Secondary School for Girls yesterday.

On Thursday, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan marked the 15th anniversary of one of their country's most important charities, the Jordan River Foundation. Originally started by Queen Noor, it was a women helping women organization called Jordan River Design. It was renamed in 1995 and was transferred to Rania when she became consort in 1999.
