With the appearance of a bread-like crown, the Coburg Loaf became popular after the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who was from Saxe-Coburg.     
Coburg Loaf is a style of round crusty white wheatflour bread loaf with crown-like radial slashes around the top.

Oh Thanks Louis...........I did not know the name of this bread as I had some recently at a friend's home and she said it was something English..........she bpought it at a bakery and it was very good warmed up with raw honey and butter.......I used to bake home bread when married with little children, now my baking days are done........for now.....who knows what will come out of my oven tomorrow.......... :hi:
